Model United Nations Training Day

Become a Global Citizen! Are you interested
in learning more about making the United Nations come alive
in your classroom? Or about growing or sustaining your
current Model United Nations program?
Come to our third annual Southern California MUN Training
Day to learn what Model United Nations can do for you and
your school. Model UN students gain experience in diplomacy,
negotiation, and problem solving while also learning about
the issues facing the countries of the world. MUNers become
stronger speakers, creative writers, and global citizens.
This program is designed for students on all levels, interested
parents, teachers, and administrators who want to learn about
Model UN.
Experienced MUNers will lead workshops covering:
- starting and sustaining a Model UN program
- fundraising
- conducting your own Model UN conference
- choosing and researching committee topics
- preparing and writing Resolutions and Position Papers
- learning Rules of Procedure
- MUN for beginners
Registration:
A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided. The
cost is $5.00 per participant which can be paid at the door.
